The Eagle Rock High School Alumni Association was formed in July 1993 by Eagle Rock, California community leaders, school officials, and  graduates dating back to the 1930's. It was their objective to bring the school and community closer together.

          Are you one of those special personalities who believe in giving back something in return for what you have received? The ERHS Alumni Association, established in 1993, depends on loyal, dedicated and committed grads who want the very best for their alma mater and its students. 

          In the past, there has been great support from those graduating in the 30’s through the 60’s. Unfortunately, from the 70’s on, few people have chosen to get involved. Sadly, unless we get younger grads to help carry the torch, our hard-working organization will eventually cease to exist.

 

     Why is joining the alumni Association important and what do we do?

·        Award approximately $40,000 in scholarships yearly to upward- bound students to assist with college and university expenses.

·        Publish quarterly newsletters highlighting notable alumni, class reunions, ERHS history and nostalgia, past and present sports, messages from classmates, ERHS today, etc.

·        Maintain an ERHS Alumni website:  ERHSalum.com

·        Annually recognize and honor ERHS grads who have dedicated their lives to the betterment of their school, community and/or nation.

·        Induct accomplished athletes into the ERHS Sports Hall of Fame.

·        Support ERHS and its students through school improvement projects and student leadership opportunities.

·        Help maintain our class plaques (Alumni Plaza area) and contribute to the senior class plaque yearly.

·        Strengthen the heritage and traditions of ERHS by preserving memorabilia and historical records.

·        Assist in the publication of an Alumni Directory to help classmates reconnect.

     We know there are many talented grads with school pride out there who are not afraid to go the extra mile to get involved. Now is your opportunity to step up to the plate and let us know who you are. Please complete the enclosed membership application and return it to our P.O box. If you live nearby, plan to attend our Advisory Board meetings the last Monday of the month Sept. through Nov., and Jan. through May. Meetings are held at 7:00 pm in the ERHS library. See you there!
